What are the USSSA All American Games

  • The 2009 All-American Games will provide all USSSA players and outlet for recognition and exposure.

The event will additionally serve as the selection process for Team USSSA which will compete internationally in Japan in 2010.

    There will be 14U, 15U, & 16U divisions.

What is ABR's Involvement? The Amateur Baseball Report, a scouting partner of USSSA, will run player ID Camps and Combines throughout the country to select the 2009 teams.

I.D. Camps and Scout Combines will be placed at viable locations and times.  ABR will target key USSSA events such as the Super Elite.

ABR will run or oversee each event.  ABR's Director of Scouting will oversee all scouting to assure consistency.

What are I.D. Camps?

What are Scouting Combines?

I.D. Camps  I.D. camps are skills evaluations which are run in a combine format. Each participant is graded on the five tools (Arm Strength, Fielding, Hitting, Power, & Speed). Pitchers and catchers undergo a separate evaluation.  Each participant has a player profile page created on the ABR website which is where evaluations are posted.  Video will also be provided.

Scouting Combines Scouthing combines include skills evaluation through extended infield, outfield & batting practice followed by game simulations. Results are posted on the participant's player prfile page which will include evaluations and video.

How Do Individuals Qualify?  1. Attend any ABR Player ID Camp around the country. A listing of all 2009 camps can be found on www.amateurbaseballreport.com . Additional camps will be added daily.

2. Once a player has been identified and qualified at one of the above camps, he will be invited back to a final regional tryout.  There will be 6 regional final tryouts to be determined at a later date.

3. The teams will be selected within 48 hrs after the final regional tryout is complete.

Why would an Individual Want to Participate?  He will be recognized as one of the best in USSSA Baseball.

Possible selection to Team USSSA which will play in 2010 internationally in Japan.

Great opportunity to play in a scouted event with some of the best players in the country at a Major League Spring Training facility.
