Baseball is
alive and well
in Cenla.
Most not
familiar
with the program
probably does
not know that
this program
started in
Alexandria
Louisiana.
Skip Armstrong a
strong advocate
of this program
took over this
year with very
little time but
was able to get
3 teams playing.
David Bates in
Pineville had 2
teams. The
District 4
Tournament will
be hosted by
Pineville at
Ward 9
Sportsplex.
on July 6th
-8th.
The Bracket will be posted after the Credentials meeting being held Thursday evening @ 6:30 at Cenla Baseball Academy. If you are interested in The Dixie Boys Tournament.

will travel to
Orange Beach for
World Series July
6th
It has
been a
tremendous year
to date,
We have played
10 events with 9
of them being
60/90. I
was not sure
about this but
after many
discussions with
top programs
around Texas and
other Major
teams in the
state it was
obvious if I
wanted to
prepare these
young men for
High School ball
this was the
right thing to
do. It was also
important that
we play up in
class instead of
down.
One of the key
things the
record does not
show that in the
13 losses to
Major teams or
16 under teams
that we actually
we were leading
in last
inning in
11 of those
games. we
have had a hard
time closing
that door.
It has actually
become kind of
hilarious.
We will travel
to Gulf Shores
Alabama for the
World Series
that will host
24 teams from 7
different states.
The teams will
be Major, AAA
& AA.
I hope that our
playing up will
finally come
together and
this very
talented group
of young men
will shine.
We have played
some
quality teams
this year,
Some of the Top
Baseball Teams
in the State.
Hats off to the
Weekend Warriors
in the State
Championships,
they are a class
act, we
finally got to
play Bullet
Baseball and led
them thru 4
innings until an
untimely balk
call. They
are a team top
to bottom.
their leadership
and discipline
shined thru.
There is much
respect for
their program in
the state of
Louisiana. As
the year starts
to close down I
wish all the
Central
Louisiana Team
best of luck at
their World
Series. I
know Cenla
Wildcats are
traveling to
Disney and that
is a Tremendous
Experience I
wish the best of
Luck. Your
not only
representing
Cenla but also
Louisana I know
you will make us
proud.
This team is the
only true Major
team out of
Central
Louisiana.
Not many can say
that.
Many teams run
from that.
I only hope to
have a major
team some day.

Terry Mathews
Joins Cenla Baseball Academy

Cenla Baseball Academy is excited to add a Premier Pitching and Hitting instructor to our line up. Terry is an Alumni of Holy Savior Menard High School and ULM. Terry was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1987 and spent 12 years in Professional Baseball. Mathews also spent time with the Marlins, Orioles and Royals. Terry although a Big League Pitcher was known as a natural Power hitter. Terry is able to give lessons in the evening. If you would like guidance from Coach Mathews Register Here
