La USSSA Standardized

After Much Debate a great thing has happened in Louisiana reference rules. In response to input from you, we have compiled some standard rules for Tournament Play. These rules will be applied to all events in Louisiana. If there are any special tournament rules outside of the document, they must be advertised by the tournament host and approved by the USSSA State Office. These rules apply to all USSSA Qualifiers, Global Sports Qualifiers and NIT's.

Fall  Baseball

Is it Good or Bad?

It's that time of year and the phone has been ringing,  Fred are yall doing fall ball this year? Is this good for a player that has never played?  My son didn't get as many chances as I would have liked? My Son is moving up to live arm or Pitching machine is this good for him?  We just want to keep him or her swinging the bat?  Will this make him better?  WELL the answer to all these questions is FALL BALL is great for all these great questions.

5 years ago Byron and I wanted to keep our boys and friends playing not truly competitive but just to stay in touch with the ball and swinging the bat.  There was a small fall league but was not very organized.  We started Cenla Fall ball and it has grown year end year out.  It is quite different than Recreation ball or Travel ball. It has been taught as a Training transition league.  What that means is kiddos get the opportunity to play at the division they will play next year in Dixie and in a atmosphere with very little stress or intensity.  WHY?  Well we don't keep score, we try to keep teams with few players so that means more at bats and more playing time.  We ask the coaches of the Fun league to let kiddos play positions they have never played.  Now We have select teams that use this as there fall practices.  Also they get points for the fall season for next year.  Now the Season is not very long and you only play 1 night a week, but you get quite a few opportunities.  Over the years many players, parents, and coaches have said what a wonderful experience Fall ball was.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate call me 318-730-9690. In this league you can sign up individual or get all your buddies together and bring your own team.

Hope to see you on the field!!!
